Flying/Aviation Cadet, NavCad, and MarCad Homecoming
All Flying/Aviation Cadet/NavCad/Marcad homecoming. We need you to conduct your individual class or unit reunions in conjunction with this all cadet homecoming. If we are to make this operation into all it should be we must have YOUR cooperation! The old :" I don't know anyone in any other class" rhetoric just doesn't hold water. We are all getting fewer in number, we need to cooperate and graduate as we used to say. Mark Berent said it best in 2004, he said:"I normally don't attend my class reunions because all I hear are the same old stories from the same old guys! But at this homecoming there are lots of new stories from lots of new guys, I think it's great!" There is no reason in the world (other than pride of authorship) for not having your reunion in with the all cadet homecoming. Let's work together and make our legacy all that it should be.
If you ever had any of the previous titles attached to your name you belong in this group,even if you did not graduate, we also welcome student officers and enlisted personnel to attend this great event. We are conducting the sixth annual homecoming of this
group at "The Aviation Cadet Museum at Silver Wings Field" in Eureka
Springs Arkansas this October 10-12, 2008. (50 miles SW of Branson MO).
This is not your fathers Oldsmobile reunion. When have you ever been to
a reunion which also included a great air show, and a chance to fly a T-6,or PT-19, all in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Please make your hotel reservations yesterday! Rooms are really hard to get here in
October. Ask anyone who has been here and they will tell you the same.
We will be using the County Mountain Inn:800-626-7120, Travelers Inn:800-643-5566, Trails Inn:800-962-4691, Edelweiss Inn:800-870-2529 and Super 8:479-253-5959. The Country Mountain Inn will be the Hdq. hotel. There are two fine RV parks close to the action: Wanderlust :479-253-7385 and Kettle Campground: 479-253-9100. Hotel prices should be around $59.00 for a double.
Banquet will be at The Historic Crescent Hotel. Happy hour at 18:00, dinner at 19:00. Dress: Suits, Tux or Mess Dress for the guys, after five for the gals.
